Pastor Accused of Lewd Acts With Young Parishioner

SAN CLEMENTE — A church pastor was charged today with lewd acts for allegedly kissing a 14-year-old parishioner passionately on the mouth on more than one occasion, authorities said.
42-year old Ricardo Avalos Maffey is charged with three felony counts of lewd acts upon a child between the ages of 14 and 15, said Farrah Emami of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Maffey met the girl through his role as pastor at Apostolic Christian Church and, between May and August, is accused of violating his position of trust by engaging in illegal sexual contact with her, Emami said.
He is accused of passionately kissing the girl on the mouth on multiple occasions, and contacting her several times to meet and engage in kissing, Emami said.
