Pastor Charged with Lewd Acts with 14-Year-Old Girl

SANTA ANA — A pastor from a San Clemente church was charged Saturday with lewd acts for allegedly kissing a 14-year-old female parishioner and contacting the girl to ask her to meet to engage in kissing, authorities said.
Ricardo Avalos Maffey, 42, met the girl while working as a pastor at Apostolic Christian Church. He is alleged to have engaged in illegal sexual contact with her between May and August of this year, according to Farrah Emami of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Maffey faces three felony counts of lewd acts upon a child between the ages of 14 and 15.
